Ashley M. Spencer
Ms. Spencer works on a very active docket. Formerly a clerk with the Texas Attorney General’s office in the anti-trust division for almost two years, after graduating law school, Ms. Spencer began working with The Spencer Law Firm and has been lead counsel for its Multi District Litigation section. Ms. Spencer participated in a bell weather case for the transvaginal mesh litigation in which a $20,000,000 verdict was awarded the plaintiff. She has also settled many product liability cases, resulting in millions in settlement for her clients. Currently, Ms. Spencer heads up the team at The Spencer Law Firm for its product liability cases, including the ongoing 3M earplug cases, Zantac and Elmiron. Ms. Spencer has become adept at working with clients and the firm’s staff in major MDL litigation.
Ms. Spencer also has an active docket involving securities civil and regulatory matters, general business litigation and partnership/shareholder disputes. As lead counsel for clients involved in contentious partnership and tort case disputes in Texas and Delaware, Ms. Spencer has had to focus on areas of the law such as the Anti SLAPP motions and Anti Suit Injunctions filed by opposing counsel. Recently, in 2020, Ms. Spencer was appointed lead counsel in a partnership dispute involving half a billion-dollars and assisted in its resolution. Ms. Spencer successfully litigated and removed and replaced two operators with ownership interests for two separate oil and gas well disputes, which is a rarity in Texas jurisprudence. She has worked on securities regulatory matters involving the Texas Securities Board, FINRA, the Certified Financial Planner's Board and the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission. Ms. Spencer has been currently focused on a 10 year long FINRA case which was appealed to the SEC and remanded back to FINRA to reduce sanctions in accord with SEC and FINRA guidelines.
Ms. Spencer works extensively on business corporate and partnership litigation and she has been advocating for injured people and their families in product liability cases. She is dedicated to zealously representing clients and their families by pursuing justice for those who have been harmed by toxic substances, drugs and defective products. Ms. Spencer has represented hundreds of clients and has obtained millions on their behalf. Her business background brings a different skill set to the product liability litigation arena which assists her in obtaining significant settlements for her clients.
Ms. Spencer graduated with a juris doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2010 and with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas in Austin in 2007. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2011.
