Loren M. King, IV
Mr. Loren M. King, IV has an extensive transactional and litigation docket. Mr. King has broad transactional expertise that includes all types of business based contracts such as securities issuance and compliance, oil and gas contracts and operating agreements, construction and general contractor services agreements, software services agreements, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, corporate governance and partnership agreements, loan, investment and promissory notes, employment agreements, mergers and acquisitions, purchase sales agreements and can masterfully handle any contract presented to him.
Mr. King has federal and state court practice, with emphasis on litigation, arbitration and mediation, commercial and contractual disputes, business torts, securities, construction, product liability, trademark and copyright infringement and oil and gas. His practice also consists of plaintiff and defense general litigation including commercial disputes, corporate governance and partnership disputes, employment issues, private securities, construction and general contracting, oil and gas, copyright infringement and many other areas of law. He is also experienced in FINRA enforcement actions and Texas State and Federal securities laws. Mr. King also manages MDL product liability cases.
Mr. King handles the probate docket for the firm, which includes drafting applications for admission of wills to probate, drafting initial inventory, accounting, and lists of claims, attending hearings, drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
Mr. King manages our multi-family property operating company's litigation docket and real estate docket, including preparation of defenses and claims, and court attendance associated with hearings, motions, and trial as needed.
He also has varied experience in drafting oil and gas joint operating agreements in compliance with Texas law and the Texas Railroad Commission's regulatory rules, reviewing proposed operating agreements and lease agreements to ensure protection of client rights under the operating agreement and the obligations of the operator under the contract, in addition to the review of title documents and leases associated with operating agreements to ensure the legitimacy of the client's right to collect royalties.
